How to open a bank account
All international students of Denmark are advised to open a bank account. To do this, a Danish ID number must first be obtained. When choosing a bank, we suggest that you ask your student friends for recommendations to the best banks. The process of opening an account is very easy, you just have to bring your passport, ID card and Danish ID number to one of the bank branches that you have chosen.
You will need to bring in a credit or cash card sufficient for the first weeks of your stay in Denmark. For example: You will need enough money to pay the rent and the deposit provided for your residence, in addition to household items for your room.
